Three city teenagers – ages 13, 16 and 19 – have been arrested on charges related to Monday’s late afternoon robbery and shooting in the 1100 block of Market Street, city police said.
A woman identified as Nyreese Turner, 19, of 608 Locust St., and a male identified as Aajujuan Johnson, 16, of 1149 Market St., were locked up on no bail after both were arraigned on multiple felony and misdemeanor charges.
A man and a woman were robbed by three people and then one in the group fired shots at the couple, police said.
No one was hit, police said.
Turner, Johnson and a 13-year-old boy were all nabbed within minutes near Cherry Street and Hawthorne Avenue, about two blocks west of where the shots were fired, police said.
“All three teens have extensive criminal histories,” officials said.
The two victims positively identified the three as those who allegedly robbed them, police said.
However, neither victim could say which one fired at them, police said.
Although all three suspects were initially believed to be males, it turned out one was a female, police said.
The charges against Turner and Johnson included robbery, terroristic threats, theft, receiving stolen property and conspiracy, police said.
The 13-year-old, whose name was not released, will be petitioned into juvenile court on similar charges, police said. He is in custody of the county’s juvenile probation office.
No one has actually been charged with firing the shots at the couple.
Turner and Johnson were arraigned before District Judge William Solomon and jailed in the Lycoming County Prison.
