Qualcomm and ESL Tie Up to Launch Snapdragon Pro Series With a Prize Pool of $2 Million

Snapdragon Pro Series 2022 Overview

The Snapdragon Pro Series was announced recently by Qualcomm but there is not a lot of information about which games will be included in the event. With the chip maker promoting its “ Snapdragon Elite Gaming”, it is likely that the event will focus on mobile esports titles. The tie-up between the two brands also promises live and online events along with custom brand integrations.

Don McGuire, Senior Vice president and Chief Marketing Officer of Qualcomm said in the official press release, “In partnership with ESL, Snapdragon Pro Series will be an important additional pillar of our comprehensive gaming strategy allowing us to build category leadership in mobile esports globally.”

Rodrigo Samwell, Chief Customer Officer at ESL Gaming talked about how the rise of mobile esports is well-documented, and the organization is proud of the role it has played in it . He stated, “Our new collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies and its Snapdragon brand will elevate our mobile ecosystem to its fullest potential. We’re excited to transform the future of mobile esports for players and fans around the world, continuing to create a world where everybody can be somebody.”

Players interested in the event can check out the official website which will be updated with tournament registration details soon. The event is scheduled to kick off in April 2022 and interested participants can join the Discord server to stay updated on the event information.

Last Year ESL’s lineup of mobile esports events included League of Legends: Wild Rift, Legends of Runeterra, Asphalt 9: Legends, PUBG Mobile, Brawl Stars, Clash of Clans, and Clash Royale. Some of the titles are expected to return this year with the Pro Series being touted as a “multi-genre” event.
