Old Nissan Leaf batteries help build new Nissan Leafs. The company uses them in robots in factories.

Nissan has found a new use for batteries that have already outlived their Leaf electric vehicles. They are used in robots that work in the company’s factories and … assemble new Leafs. Thus, it can be said that after their main life, the batteries of the old Leafs help to create the new Leafs.

The negotiated robots are used in car factories (not only Nissan) to deliver certain parts or objects to workers. Nissan has long used the same batteries as in electric cars, in those very robots, but only now the company has begun to equip them with batteries that have already become obsolete in cars.
