A 69-year-old East Bridgewater man was found on his lawn and was taken to the hospital with burns after his house went up in flames Saturday, officials said.
The man, who lived alone in the house, was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. His injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening, the East Bridgewater Fire Department said in a statement.
Firefighters said they responded at about 4:50 p.m. to 15 Chestnut St. after receiving a call about a house fire, seeing heavy flames from “nearly every window on the first and second floors of the home” when they arrived.
