Love the trikes but not loving the protective caps!

We love the trikes but are very unhappy with the plastic caps on the wheels! I contacted your customer service the day after we put the trikes and scooters together. Every single plastic safety cap that fits over the wheels has popped off after one day of use on our playground. They pop back in but will not stay in place. The caps are there as a safety measure I think but also to protect the tires from dirt and such. PLEASE let me know what to do. Thank you
