Coronavirus: L.A. County reported 2,335 more cases and 13 new deaths, Aug. 9

Los Angeles County public health officials reported 2,335 new cases of the coronavirus since Monday, bringing the total number of cases to 3,338,352 as of Tuesday, Aug. 9.

Officials reported 13 more deaths linked to the coronavirus since Monday for a total of 32,869 deaths since tracking began.

There were 55 fewer hospitalizations reported Tuesday, brining the total number of people hospitalized with coronavirus to 1,151.

According to the California Department of Public Health’s vaccines dashboard, 77% of Los Angeles County is fully vaccinated.
